Welcome to the SDS Art Site!
Here you will find out information about the teacher, the class and the hard work of the South Dorchester School students. This year we will be focusing on the history of art, specific techniques in art, artists and cultures, as well as how important it is to talk about art.
Our Classes
South Dorchester School is Pre-k through 8th grade. The small class sizes allow teachers to work on the individual needs of the students.

Primary and Elementary
Students will be focusing on the very basics of the elements and principles of design.
Middle Grades
Students are concentrating on skills while using their understanding of the fundamentals of art. Students learn the TAB (teaching for Artistic behavior) model for creating unique works of art that are meaningful and personal.
